Mix It Up Fitness

For students entering grades 3-6 

Get off the couch this summer and get moving! In this group exercise course, you will get your heart pumping while listening to popular dance music. We will learn the basics of zumba, kickboxing, and boot camp style movements. Also students will make that body/mind connection and learn the fundamentals of yoga and mindfulness. Students will be guided through challenging poses; such as warrior, downward dog, bow, and many more, while also flowing through energizing sun salutations. Mindfulness can help us improve our abilities to pay attention, to calm down when upset, and to make better decisions. Students will learn specific mindfulness strategies such as "Safari" walks, breathing exercises, and meditation. This course will benefit both the body and the mind, setting the tone for an amazing day!
