Pre-Course 3
Entering grades 6-7
This is a course designed for students who have completed Grade 6 Course 1 or Grade 6 Course 2, and who would like to take the placement exam for Grade 7 Course 3. Each week the course will delve deeply into a different topic. The topics include integers, rational numbers, expressions and equations, expressions and ratios, proportions and percent. Topics of Grade 7 Course 3 will build on the topics covered in this summer course. This rigorous course is for students to deeply understand the topics needed for an accelerated Course 3 class.
*Students ENTERING 7th grade can use this course to qualify for Grade 7 Course 3 provided they have met the pre-requisites outline by Middlesex Middle School. Students must attend 23 out of the 24 summer school days in order to qualify for Grade 7 Course 3.
**Students may also audit this course as a preview/review.
Enrollment will be limited to the first 20 registrations in each section.
