 For students entering grades 7-10

Neuroscience is the study of how the nervous system develops, its structure, and its function. In this course, students will examine the anatomy, physiology, and chemistry of the nervous system and behaviors that it meditates. This is a hands-on course and will include activities such as live in-person dissections. From this course, students will be able to use prior knowledge from past science courses to expand their knowledge of the human body.

This course is part of our Teen Teachers program in which Darien's high school and college students teach courses about topics they are passionate about. In addition to the Teen Teacher who will lead the activities, a Darien Public Schools staff member will supervise the class.
