Precalculus - Virtual
Entering grades 10-12
VIRTUAL Class Description: The class will be a combination of live teaching along with some videos and lesson plans the students will do on their own in conjunction with the live teaching. The teacher will be available for the entire period to help students with their work. Fridays will be assessments or independent work that students can complete at any time (we will NOT have live teaching sessions on Friday nights).
This course is designed to provide a solid foundation for the first semester of Precalculus - either at the 300 or 400 level. Students will learn the foundations of trigonometry including the unit circle, radian and degree measures, the six basic trig functions, graphing, solving equations, identities, etc… Ideal for students who are leveling up or just made the cutoff for the 400 level course. This course can also be taken to qualify for AP Calculus if the grade requirement was not met during the school year. You will get a solid background to ease the challenge and rigor of the first semester of Precalculus or to jump right into Calculus.
