Writers' Masterpiece Theater - CANCELLED

For students entering grades 3-4

The lights in the theater dim, and a play begins. But a play will not soar unless it’s great on the page.  In this class your child will learn the craft of dramatic writing taken from a book we read together each week. 

This is where your child will learn the crafts of attending to a story being read, sharing and listening points of view, to trust their instincts building confidence and the life skill of learning how to compromise. 

The group collaboration will result in a play they will act out in our “Actors Studio” created in the classroom, a script bearing their name and the most fun of all-a vast collection of fun props and wardrobes to bring their dramatic creations to life.

At the end of the session we will put on our own Academy Awards-complete with a walk down the red carpet, a statuette and a very special package filled with gifts just for our thespians.
