For students entering grades 9-11
Biology is the science of organisms. Students will be exposed to the great diversity that exists among organisms with topics ranging from one-celled organisms through the human being. Emphasis is also placed on the environment as it relates to all organisms. We will learn about these topics through lecture, discussion, class work, group work, research, projects, computer activities, and labs.
Topics will likely include, but may not be limited to:

� Biochemistry
� Ecosystems, Energy Flow, & Conservation
� Cells
� Cell Cycle
� Reproduction and Meiosis
