If your child loves activity and involvement, this camp is for him/her! Each day your son/daughter will attend a sport activity and an art activity. The daily sport activity will keep your child's growing body in constant movement with lots of physical activity: floor hockey, kickball, basketball, capture-the-flag, adventure games, parachute activities, individual and group challenges and more! 

Children will explore their love for art with a weekly theme using various materials and techniques. Through each topic, they will be introduced to contemporary artists and media that will encourage their imagination and creativity. Sign up for individual weeks or a full five weeks to immerse in a summer full of awesome art fun.

Weekly Themes:

Week 1: Dark Room - Using florescence to create artwork that glows

Week 2: Color & Light - Creating art about rainbows and Light

Week 3: Eat Your Art- Creating art inspired by food

Week 4: Pop Art/ Exploring the selfie- Creating art inspired by the way we are and the way we imagine are ourselves to be!

Week 5: Dream Worlds - Tiny Spaces, Mask Making; fairy wands and creating your dreamworld

A materials fee is included in the cost of tuition.   

*While the hope is that no students will need to quarantine this summer, if students are quarantined, families will be able to request an optional asynchnronous summer packet.  The packet will not coincide with weekly themes and art supplies will not be provided by the school for asynchnronous work (projects will be able to be completed with basic supplies that most families have at home).  

Some Sports & Arts program notes:

• Children will be grouped according to grade level and experience.
• Parents will receive detailed program information prior to opening.
• A snack time will be provided, so have your child bring a snack and beverage each day.

Please note:  Every Monday we will have all the campers meet on the sidewalk outside the North Gym at 9:15am. Parents and campers will be able to meet their counselors before the day begins. Pick up will take place in the same location as drop off.

**NEW FOR THIS YEAR**

Extend the Sports and Art fun with an add-on program from 8:30am-9:15am!  Participants will have the opportunity to participate in sports and arts activities during this time.  The extension program will really help those families who are already dropping other students off at DHS at 8:30am and don't want to make two trips to the high school.  In order to sign up, click the Sports and Arts Extension link below or search for Sports and Arts Extension in our class search feature.
