DSS Volunteer Program

For students entering grades 10-12 and students graduating from high school in 2025

Join us to gain leadership skills and experience working with children in this volunteer program!  Participants will guide younger students from class to class and have the opportunity to assist in courses in areas of interest.  Volunteers will be able to work with children in a variety of programs including those in the areas of art, sports, theater, music, and more! 

Volunteers will be asked to participate for at least 3 of the 5 weeks.  Participation in the first week of the program (June 23-June 27) must be one of the weeks.

Interested students must complete the linked Google Form and a brief interview which will be scheduled after submission of the Google Form.  The deadline to apply for the volunteer program is May 1 and selected students will be notified by June 1.  Registering for the volunteer program through the DSS website is NOT an automatic acceptance into the program. Students must complete an application and successfully interview in order to be a volunteer.
