Preparing for PreAlgebra
For students entering grades 7-8
Designed for students who have completed Grade 6 Mathematics or Grade 6 Advanced Mathematics and would like to prepare for Prealgebra 7 and Prealgebra 8. Each week focuses on a major topic such as integers, rational numbers, expressions and equations, ratios, proportions, and percent.
This course emphasizes understanding of core topics needed for success in Grade 7 and 8 Prealgebra.
Our summer math courses are designed to provide exposure, enrichment, and reinforcement of key mathematical concepts. These courses offer students the opportunity to preview upcoming material, review foundational skills, and strengthen problem-solving confidence in a supportive learning environment.
Please note:
Summer courses are not a replacement for any full-year math course.
They are not designed as preparation for the Math Placement Exam.
Placement decisions for the upcoming school year are based on coursework, school-year performance, and department assessments, not summer enrichment participation.
