Writing the College Essay- In person
Entering grades 11-12
This course is designed to help upperclassmen prepare for their college essays, an increasingly important part of the application process. During the sessions, students will read sample essays, prepare for their college essays, learn about what admissions officers value in personal statements, and brainstorm topics that will help them stand out in a crowded field of applicants. In class, students will also have time to workshop their ideas and conference with their teacher. By the end of the course, they should leave with a draft of the personal statement that they can use for their applications. Students are asked to bring their own laptop or tablet.

June 28-July 2: 8am-10am
June 28-July 2: 10am-12pm
July 19 and July 20: 8am-12pm with additional optional individual Zoom conferences on July 23
