Darien Summer Jazz Workshop

All instrumentalists entering grades 5-12

Students in this class will experience making music through creative jazz improvisation. A friendly, inclusive approach will accommodate beginners through advanced students and will develop and encourage the skills necessary to become creative musicians. Students will engage in daily “jam” sessions, create original songs, explore their individual style, listen to master creative musicians, perform with professional musicians and much more. There will be a final performance on Friday to showcase what we've learned during the week.

*This class is offered at 1pm.  If students have another class ending at 12:30pm and need somewhere to go until 1pm, try Lunch Bunch!
