Lego Motion

Entering grades 2-7

Grades 2-4 - 8:30-10:30 (S301)

Grades 5-7 - 10:30-12:30 (S302)

The LEGO® Motion Education program sparks student interest in STEAM through hands-on challenges that explore forces, motion, and interactions in sports and everyday systems. Using engineering-inspired LEGO sets with motors, students design, build, test, and refine moving models that bring physics concepts to life.
Through playful competition and collaborative problem-solving, students experiment with gears, wheels, and motor-driven systems while tackling creative, leveled challenges. Personalized guidance ensures both younger and more experienced builders are supported as they grow in confidence and skill.

Across five exciting lessons, this dynamic program blends physics, math, and communication into an engaging learning adventure led by Mr. David Herberger, a passionate DHS science teacher.
