Musical Theater Workshop
This year's production: "Willy Wonka Jr."
Do you have a child who enjoys performing and has a sincere interest in learning about theater and improving his/her acting, singing and/or dancing skills? Is your child motivated to work hard, strive for excellence, and have a lot of fun being part of the magic of putting on a musical production? If your child is that student, this extraordinary program is for her or him! Your child will gain experience in the following aspects of musical theater: (1) dance and movement; (2) music/voice technique; (3) acting/character development; and (4) costume design and creation (Your son/daughter will make/create/find/buy some or all of his/her costumes).
Three performances will be held in the Darien High School Auditorium- Dates/Times: Thursday, July 25th @ 7pm, Friday, July 26th @ 7pm, and Saturday, July 27th @ 2pm. The class fee includes two tickets to the performance of one's choice. Students will be asked to help sell tickets to the performances, as well as place posters to advertise the show around the community.
Enrollment will be limited and based on a first come/first served basis in the following grade range:
