Algebra II

Entering grades 9-12

This course offers a preview into many of the major topics that will be covered during the full-year Algebra 2 course at DHS, including: solving and graphing systems of linear equations and absolute value inequalities and equations; factoring, solving, evaluating and graphing quadratic equations and using them to solve real-world problems; evaluating and graphing piecewise functions; using matrices to solve systems of equations with three variables; graphing and evaluating rational, radical, and exponential functions; properties of logarithms and using them to solve problems. 

*Students may take this course as a preview of the course, review of material before advancing to the next level, or for credit recovery. If a student is taking this class as credit recovery, this summer school course will award .5 (one semester) credit to those who successfully pass the course and attend at least 23 of the 24 days. This course does not cover a full year of Algebra 2 and may not be used for placement into the next sequential course.
